BAND MEMBERS

Each member of Paradigm is uniquely talented and forward thinking. Putting these 5 individuals together makes for a fun night of Heavy Metal musical madness

A High Baritone, Heavily Influenced by 80s Metal, Joe's vocal style is a combination of his Classical Operatic training, and the distorted shrills of the likes of Eric Adams (Manowar), as well as the Dark Baritone of Joakim Broden (Sabaton), and the unique melodic Style of Tenor Metal Vocalist Micheal Kiske (Helloween)

PARADIGM: THE STORY SO FAR

2019 - 2022

- 2019 -

Formed in February 2019, Paradigm originally consisted of Maddie, Joe, Taiga and a Lead Guitarist Named James. The four had fun rehearsing on a regular basis, learning Songs by Metallica and Judas Priest. However, the band couldn't function without a Bass player. Enter; Oliver Holmes, Introduced by James, In July 2019. Soon after, the five began rehearsing at a new studio, and had never sounded better. Unfortunately, due to having a lot of work in their day-jobs, among other matters, everyone but James was rendered unable to practice for a while. The band decided to take a quick break and regroup in 2020 with plans to perform and write original material. James became disenfranchised with the band during this time, and decided to part ways on good terms.

- 2020 -

In January 2020, The rest of Paradigm got back on the Horse, and started rehearsing almost every week. When the Coronavirus outbreak hit, Paradigm had to stop rehearsing. As soon as the restrictions allowed it, they got straight back to practicing together. Paradigm utilized the time spent in lockdown to write new material and practice more songs to perform.

 - 2021 -

In August 2021, Paradigm got into contact with a guitarist named Aaron Tadman, who expressed interest in joining a local Rock band of any subgenre. He came to a few rehearsals, in which time, he proved to be a perfect fit for the band. In October 2021, Aaron officially became a member of the band.

Paradigm then, shortly after, played their first show since lockdown at "The Oddfellows Arms" on November 16th.

- 2022 -

Following this show at The Odds, Paradigm went on to play there, and at multiple other venues regularly in the coming months, including The Market Arms in Hemel Hempstead, whom the band were approached by to help them set up an open mic night. Paradigm sourced equipment for them, including drums, Guitars, Amps and a PA mixer, and performed every week. Around this time, the band decided on adding another guitarist to their repertoire, leading them to meet Zakk Philpott by recommendation. After a rehearsal or two, Zakk became a Member of Paradigm in April. Paradigm then went on to play their own live show "Metal Mania" at the Market Arms on May the 27th. They sold over 100 tickets, and played for close to two hours. After this show Paradigm continued firing on all cylinders, playing as much as possible to spread the word of Hard Rock and Metal. During this time, the venue that Paradigm are house band at, The Market Arms, was been taken over by Clint Whittaker, the owner of the Monks inn franchise, rebranding the Market Arms as The Friars Inn. Clint completely upgraded the venues sound equipment, and began putting on more shows. Unfortunately, at this time, due to personal reasons, Olly Holmes left Paradigm. However, they're all still friends, and wish him the best. Paradigm then went on to open up for REVengedUK at the Metal Monocle in Leicester, their furthest away jaunt to date, After which, Taiga left to pursue a degree at University, with Maddie taking over Drum duties. The band then went on to find a new Bass player, Shona Ferguson, who joined them just in time for their next supporting show at the Metal Monocle, for Renegades of Rage UK, taking place on October 7th.

Going into 2023, Paradigm played numerous gigs, including The Friars inn with Sudokara, and are booked to play at the Prestigious Horn in St. Albans, with further gigs coming up at The Odds in Hemel Hempstead, A benefit gig for The Horns Watford, and plans to play at some venues in the Isle of Wight
